Salifert Phosphate Remover Phosphate Eliminator binds phosphate and is then removed more effectively than usual by the skimmer. When it is added to your aquarium, it immediately ensures that phosphate is no longer available for algae. It also prevents the binding of phosphate to corals, living rock and the sand. This increases the ability of corals and lime algae to grow much faster. If the bound phosphate is not removed by the skimmer within 24 hours, it will be released back into your aquarium due to bacterial action. This will especially be the case with a fairly high phosphate concentration. In such cases, daily dosing is required. An elevated phosphate concentration in protein skimmer foam can be observed within hours of dosing Phosphate Eliminator. With long-term high phosphate concentrations, this results in the binding of phosphate to stones and sand. When the phosphate concentration decreases (with the help of this supplement), these phosphates are released again. Or to put it another way, the aquarium decoration is getting cleaner with regard to phosphate. These released phosphates are then removed by the protein skimmer. Instructions : Shake before use. Regular maintenance as a precaution: Dose 5 ml per 100 liters per week. To decrease elevated phosphate concentration: Dose 5 ml per 100 liters per day. Test for phosphate every 1 or 2 weeks.
